- Cloudlink 210 unifies video surveillance, access control, and intrusion management into a single appliance.
- Securely connects existing security devices to the cloud while reducing IT complexity.
CAPE TOWN, South Africa: May 15 2025 — Genetec Inc., the global leader in enterprise physical security software, has unveiled Genetec Cloudlink™ 210, a cloud-managed security appliance that will help retailers combat rising shrink, manage security across multiple locations, and reduce operational complexity.
Supporting retail security and IT teams
As the first cloud-managed appliance that supports video surveillance, access control, and intrusion management in a single device, Cloudlink 210 allows retailers to spend less time managing their security infrastructure.
The device reduces hardware complexity and improves IT efficiency by consolidating critical functions into a single appliance.
Retail security and IT teams can shift their time and focus to addressing challenges such as organized retail crime (ORC), in-store violence, internal theft, and fraud at the point of sale (POS).

The appliance also features an intuitive touchscreen interface that simplifies deployment and makes it easy for retail security and IT teams to monitor their connected systems without requiring on-site technical expertise at each store or facility.
With quick access to critical functions, teams can quickly check device statuses, network settings, and appliance health directly on the device screen.
Cloudlink 210 also helps retailers address cybersecurity risks. Outdated or vulnerable security devices can create critical cybersecurity gaps.
Cloudlink 210 strengthens cybersecurity with automated updates and network isolation. Retailers stay protected with the latest security patches and new functionalities while having the option to isolate untrusted or outdated devices on a separate network, ensuring their security data and their broader network remain safeguarded.

Simplified deployment and scalability
Unlike proprietary solutions, Cloudlink 210 (designed and built by Genetec) is based on an open architecture that supports a vast ecosystem of compatible devices. Retailers can use existing cameras, intrusion panels, and access control readers and connect them to the cloud without requiring a complete hardware overhaul. They can modernize their physical security operations with cloud connectivity while ensuring interoperability between on-premises and SaaS solutions.
“Retailers need simple, cost-effective solutions to secure and manage stores,” said Scott Thomas, director of signature brands markets, Genetec Inc. “With Cloudlink 210, they get an all-in-one solution that works with their existing cameras, intrusion panels, and access control readers, making it easy to modernize their asset protection infrastructure without having to replace their existing hardware investments.”
Availability
The Genetec Cloudlink 210 will be available globally in May 2025 through the Genetec network of accredited channel partners.
