Tanzania is set to host the African Youth Artificial Intelligence and Robotics competition award ceremony in October 2024 in association with Elevate AI and the African Union.
The Permanent Secretary of Tanzania’s Ministry of Information, Communication, and Information Technology, Mr. Mohammed Khamis Abdulla, recently announced this prestigious event.
The competition, which was launched on February 29, 2024, is an exciting opportunity for young innovators to showcase their talents and creativity in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics.
With a closing date of July 8, 2024, and winners set to be announced on August 31, 2024, the competition encompasses ten categories.

Notably, each category winner will receive a substantial prize of $100,000, providing a significant incentive for participants to excel in their respective fields.
The awarding ceremony will be a highlight of the eighth Tanzania Annual ICT Conference, scheduled to take place from October 13 to 17, 2024, at the prestigious Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam.
