Samsung Launches Galaxy S26 Series in Kenya: A New Era of Proactive AI

Samsung Electronics has officially launched the Galaxy S26 series, introducing a trio of smartphones, the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, built to redefine the mobile experience through “agentic” artificial intelligence.

This third generation of AI-integrated devices focuses on reducing the manual steps required for daily tasks.

Features like Now Nudge and Now Brief proactively suggest actions based on user context, such as identifying meeting conflicts in messages or automatically organizing trip photos for sharing.

This hardware-software synergy is powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which delivers a 39% improvement in AI processing (NPU) and a 19% boost in CPU performance over the previous generation, ensuring that even the most complex background tasks run without lag.

The Galaxy S26 series is available for pre-order in Kenya starting February 25, 2026, across Samsung Experience stores and authorized retailers. The lineup features a unified design in colors including Cobalt Violet, White, Black, and Sky Blue.

Pricing for the flagship S26 Ultra starts at KES 171,400 for the 256GB model and KES 197,300 for the 512GB version. The S26+ is priced between KES 144,400 and KES 170,300, while the base S26 starts at KES 120,900.

Each purchase is supported by Samsung Care+, providing a 24-month warranty and protection against accidental screen damage to ensure a seamless and lasting mobile experience for Kenyan consumers.

The flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra stands out as the slimmest Ultra model yet, debuting a world-first integrated Privacy Display.

This hardware breakthrough uses pixel-level light dispersion to keep on-screen content clear for the user while obscuring the view for onlookers at side angles, a critical feature for security in public spaces like cafés or public transit.

This physical layer of protection is bolstered by Post-Quantum Cryptography and the Knox Matrix ecosystem, which secures personal data at the chip level.

To support these high-performance features, the Ultra model also introduces a redesigned cooling system with a larger vapor chamber and Super Fast Charging 3.0, capable of reaching a 75% charge in just 30 minutes.

Creativity and productivity receive a significant upgrade through an industry-leading camera system and AI-driven editing tools.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra features wider apertures that capture up to 47% more light on its 200MP main sensor, significantly improving Nightography for both photos and video.

For content creators, the inclusion of the APV professional video codec ensures high-quality production workflows.

Editing is now more intuitive with the Photo Assist suite, which allows users to alter images—such as changing a daytime scene to night or cleaning up clothing spills, simply by using natural language descriptions.

Additionally, the new Creative Studio serves as a unified space for turning sketches or prompts into polished digital assets like stickers and wallpapers.
