Musa Ventures, a pioneering startup founded by the mother-daughter duo Tandadzo (Tando) Matanda and Dr. Margaret Jekanyika Matanda, is on track to transform the way startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) secure funding.

By leveraging artificial intelligence, Musa provides founders with a comprehensive suite of digital tools and insights to enhance their ventures and attract potential investors.

A Name with Meaning

The name Musa pays homage to the rich and vibrant history of Africa. Inspired by the legacy of Mansa Musa of Mali, a caring leader who utilised his resources to empower people through commerce and scholarship, Musa seeks to create a platform that empowers entrepreneurs and promotes economic growth.

The Venture Health Assessment (VHA)

At the heart of Musa’s platform is the Venture Health Assessment (VHA), a holistic evaluation and tracking tool designed to provide a clear picture of a business’s financial health. The VHA assesses businesses across 12 strategic pillars and 4 dimensions, offering a comprehensive overview of their performance.

A Foundation in Research

The VHA is informed by extensive research conducted by Harvard, Stanford, and Cambridge, analysing over 20,000 ventures and 600 funders. This robust statistical foundation ensures that the VHA provides accurate and reliable assessments.
